"When I started Body Balance, my main focus was more on 'Change your mind' than the nutrition part of the programme. But my eating habits soon changed."

ImageAnd now I am much more careful about what I put in my mouth. I feel the benefit in increased energy, I am still losing weight and my headaches have gone. Eating for health has become a new part of my life. Because I have more energy, I am swimming like I never did before.
I still refer to the recipes in the Body Balance manual. Sometimes friends ask me for the recipes, they like them so much.
Before Body Balance, I was not assertive enough. I believed that everyone else knew better than I did. I lacked the courage of my convictions and would concede to other's points of view. Now I no longer belief that others are better or superior to me. I have much more confidence in myself. I have the right to be on this planet. I am equal to everyone and I know that I am fine and good, just the way I am. I have a lot more fun too!
My biggest challenge was my work situation, but I am putting into practise the assertive and confident communication skills I learned on the programme. Where I used to be nervous about asking for what I wanted, now I can ask with confidence. It's not the work situation that has changed but me.
Because of my new found confidence, there is more energy in the way I say things. Even my voice sounds stronger. I won't go back to my old habits now.
I understand how my limiting beliefs limited my life. I finally hear the compliments people are making. My friends are full of compliments about the new Hilde. Some of them know that I followed the Body Balance programme but they do not realise the changes are due to the programme. I do! Even colleagues see a difference in me without knowing what it is that has changed.  
The most important tip I would pass on to future Body Balance participants would be to read as many of the books on the reading list as possible. I found it really helpful working with a coach on a one-to-one basis while following the programme.
